Tournaments
BATS conducts ten tennis tournaments each year from January through October at various local venues. These have included: Sunnyvale Tennis Center, Cuesta Tennis Center in Mountain View, University Club in Palo Alto, Menlo Circus Club in Atherton, Alpine Hills Tennis Club in Portola Valley. The formats are set by the BATS Tournament Director (TD) and are primarily mixed pairs doubles. Tournaments with a fee of $15 are normally four rounds of approximately 30 minutes each. But a player has the option to sit out a round or more if he or she wishes.
